Internet

Pupils may occasionally have access to the Internet through their school work. Access to the internet is made using powerful ‘filter software’ which prevents access to inappropriate web sites. This also prevents pupils sending or receiving inappropriate email. Senior staff can obtain regular reports on the web sites which a pupil attempts to access. They will also receive copies of inappropriate emails. Pupils who attempt to access unsuitable web sites or send inappropriate e-mail will have their access to the school’s computer network withdrawn and will also face disciplinary measures.

Pupils and their parents must sign a ‘Responsible Use’ agreement before internet access can be given.
