Option Forms
In S1 and S2 year pupils follow a set curriculum. During the spring of their S2 year, they choose a maximum of eight subjects for study at Standard grade. The choice is made from the lists of subjects contained in the Option Form. Part of the S2 Social Education course is given over to preparing pupils to make these choices.
A further set of choices is made at the end of S4, when the eight Standard grade courses are reduced to five Higher or Intermediate courses for study in S5. Copies of the current Option Forms are contained in the School Handbook.
Out of Class
Pupils are not allowed out of class during lessons except in very exceptional circumstances. Requests to leave the room will not normally be granted. This includes requests to go to the toilets, which pupils should use during morning break or lunch time.
