Zero Tolerance
The vast majority of pupils and their parents are very supportive of the school and its staff. Excellent relationships exist between staff, pupils and parents as has been confirmed by Her Majesty’s Inspectors of Schools.
Unfortunately, a small minority can be challenging, aggressive and potentially violent. Disrespect, aggression and violence towards staff are completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated, wherever and whenever they occur.
We will take firm disciplinary action against any pupil who acts in these ways towards staff and we will involve the Police in any incident involving parents. We are required by the Scottish Executive to record and report all incidents of verbal or physical aggression towards staff.
