Badminton
Various school badminton competitons are played off over lunchtimes in the Assembly Hall, usually from January through until March. Events are in Junior (S1–S3) and Senior (S4–S6) categories and include Singles and Doubles. Players are heavily involved inthe organisation of the competitions and take responsibility for organising games, booking courts, umpiring and reporting scores etc. Any ‘free’ courts can be booked for practice matches or social games.
This year, it is hoped to start the playing season a bit earlier with courts being available, if pre-booked, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at lunchtime, beginning the week after the October holidays. Hopefully, this will allow some of the competitions to begin earlier too! PE kit must be worn, although rackets and shuttles can be provided.
