Enterprise and Vocation
Enterprise has been a key cross-curricular theme within the school for the last four years and is run by Mr Wilson. ‘Enterprise’ is concerned with generating a positive ‘can do’ attitude within our pupils where pupils will have:
- increased ambition and expectations of themselves
- greater creativity and confidence
- openness to new thinking and ways of doing things
- enhanced employability skills
- the skills to engage effectively as active citizens both locally and nationally.
All pupils in the school are entitled to ‘enterprising’ activities. Over the past year pupils have benefited from additional ‘one off’ activities delivered from outside specialist companies, centring on leadership, team, organisational and study skills.
S3 and S4 pupils have the opportunity to take part in vocational activities, delivered with partner agencies and employers in Campbeltown, where awards and SVQ’s can boost the employment opportunities of our youngster’s post 16.
