A Mull Theatre Production
Cyprus by Peter Arnott
As the War on Terror grinds on from failure to catastrophe, Brian Traquair, a retired civil servant with a remote home on Mull, finds that his old-style pragmatism is increasingly in demand. Traquair is a man with a secretive past and an ambiguous present – as well as dubious acquaintances. His former protégé, Michael Griffen, comes up to visit Traquair and his troubled daughter, Alison, and through the door with him come foreign and domestic wars, old and new. Terrorism and intrigue, corruption and covert action have all come home.

Spring Day for Europe
Schools are invited to organise, from 26 March to 30 June 2007, European Days of exchange, debates and meetings with local, regional, national or international personalities, giving pupils and teachers the opportunity to gain information and a better understanding of the European project.
Schools are also encouraged to take part in discussion forums and teaching activities based on the functioning of institutions and on the values of Europe. ‘Spring Day for Europe’, based this year on the theme ‘Together since 1957’ is an opportunity for young people, as citizens and players in the Europe of tomorrow, to share their experiences.
This action is based on voluntary participation by schools whose pupils are aged between 7 and 17.
To register for participation and for further information go to the Spring Day for Europe website.
