Jeans for Genes Day – Thursday 9th October
One pound for just jeans and school sweatshirts.
Two pounds for full non uniform
Money will be collected at registration by the 6th years. All students will get a sticker for participating.
Young Scot
Offering cardholders free transport and free access to Leisure Centres 6th October to 17th October – see notice board for information.
Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
Would all those who are interested in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme please bring in completed enrolment form 1 plus £11 to Mrs Robertson (room 27) during registration or morning interval before Thursday 9th October. Mrs Robertson.
S3 Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
Please come to a meeting in the school canteen at 3.35 pm Thursday 2 October if you wish to enrol in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme. Bus passes will be available for those who need them. S. Gallagher
Cake Sale
There will be a cake sale organised at interval time and lunch time in the foyer on Friday 3rd October in support of the Higher French trip to Paris. Come along and enjoy a crepe, a wee slice of cake or a flapjack. Bon appetit !
SKI TRIP
All orders to buy or hire ski clothing must be given to Mrs McGeachy by Monday 6th October. Anyone who did not make the meeting earlier in the week please see Mrs McGeachy for an important letter.
Smoking in Girls’ Toilets
A number of girls have been smoking in the girls’ toilets between classes. This is against the law as well as being against the school rules.
Those caught smoking inside the buildings can be prosecuted and fined. If this practice continues the girls’ toilets will be locked other than at intervals and lunchtimes.
Pupils should not go to the toilets or the cloakrooms between classes in any case, but should go straight from one class to the next. Staff have been instructed to monitor late-coming to classes and to refer to House Heads anyone arriving late particularly if they smell of smoke.
Supported Study
All S4 please remember to hand in their Supported Study Applications to their Register teachers no later than Friday 3rd October, C. Cameron
Assemblies
All pupils in S1, S2 and S3 please go to Assembly at the start of the day on Thursday of this week.
All pupils in S4, S5 and S6 please go to Assembly at the start of the day on Friday of this week.
Student Council
All members of the Student Council should attend a meeting in the Conferenr Room at 1.10 pm on Tuesday 7th October. C. Cameron

The school heat for this competition will be held in G9 on Friday the 3rd October.
